Nightmare Reaper is a premium action game for PC developed by Blazing Bit Games. It is a first-person shooter that features retro pixel graphics and roguelike elements in its gameplay. In it, players must escape a hellish nightmare using an arsenal of different weapons and abilities.

Similar to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands or Destiny 2, Nightmare Reaper employs looter shooter elements that let players collect and unlock a bevy of weapons and items to use in their runs. It offers multiple game modes, as well as a host of randomized levels and events for them to experience.

A walking nightmare

Nightmare Reaper is a retro first-person shooter that harkens back to the days of the classic Doom. It offers a similarly distinct pixel-style look and gory presentation to go along with its violent gameplay. You play as a mysterious woman who wakes up to a nightmarish world filled with hellish creatures and labyrinthian spaces. Fight your way through using an arsenal of weapons and distinct abilities.

There are 80 unique weapons and 30 enchantment types to experiment with in Nightmare Reaper, each one having distinct effects and use against enemies. There are multiple levels spread across all kinds of locations, from a shipyard to a science facility, and an office from hell, just to name a few. What's more, they all feature hidden secrets to be discovered and random events to face.

Defeated enemies will drop tons of gold coins, which you will use to purchase upgrades for your characters. You can also unlock new abilities by completing various minigames. It's all a grand spectacle of blood, sprites, and bright flashing lights, and it's quite an experience. However, all this showboating does come at the expense of visibility sometimes, making it hard to aim at enemies and see drops.

Nightmare Reaper is one of those games to play if you just want to have mindless action and fun. What it lacks in any kind of story, it makes up for with a chaotic spectacle of blood and gold. There are plenty of weapons to choose from, and the levels are nice and varied. Plus, the randomized events add more challenge and unpredictability to the gameplay.
